Unit Alignment
What is the TS aligned with this target?

Most students in your class will be working towards the level 2 or 3, so those are the most important descriptors; the 1 is often that we provide significant support.
What does it look like when a student isn’t quite at the target? It’s vital that this is written in positive language that identifies what is there, not what isn’t.
This is what you think is the grade/unit appropriate goal for this standard. Imagine getting in a piece of student work; what would success look like?
What would it look like if the student did better than the target? Try to be explicit and specific—avoid subjective judgment words or vague goals like “above and beyond” or “with distinction.”
Identify where each target will be assessed, formatively and summatively.
