6th Cross Country Ski Trip to Sleepy Hallow

6th graders hit the trails on Thursday and Friday at Sleepy Hallow as an end to their cross country skiing unit! Although, many students had only been on skis a couple of times they did an amazing job of fearlessly going on the trails to experience something new! Even though the snow was melting fast they still had a blast cruising around in temperatures close to 60 degrees!

8th Graders Create a Game

This unit 8th graders participated in a games unit, where they played different games from all four categories. At the end of the unit 8th graders took all the skills, strategics and tactics they learned and created their own games. First, students taught them to their classmates, then modified and perfected their projects so they could teach developmentally appropriate games to the younger students! Great work 8th graders!

Finally we got some snow!!

6th grade students were super excited as they had a chance to FINALLY get to cross country ski on some freshly groomed tracks! I was super impressed by all students eagerness to try a new lifelong activity. Students had a great workout while having fun with friends :)
