Fall in Middle Level PE

This Trimester Middle level students have been working on cooperating with classmates and developing skills in a variety of different activities. 

6th grade began the year with cooperative games, followed by biking and ultimate style invasion games. They concluded the trimester by completed personal tabata work outs and wellness plans. 

7th grade expanded on cooperate games, learn new Frisbee skills, biked on the Ti haul path and improved upon their personal fitness. 

8th graders hit the ground running with a flag football unit. Then headed off campus to local trails during biking and spent the remainder of the trimester working on a personal choice project where they set skill based goals around an activity of their choosing! 

Great work has been done by all middle level students!!! 

 

 

 

 
 

First and Second Graders are spelling, exercising (choosing their own) and working on throwing and catching. This self-guided activity gives the movers and learners practice and choice.

Disc Golf In Middle School PE

Middle School students have been participating in a new lifetime sport for most: disc golf. Students have been practicing on a nine hole course scattered around the SCS Campus! Students have been enjoying the time outdoors and learning a new lifelong skill! Great Work! 

 

 

 

Spring = Track and Field

 Mrs.Nelson and Mrs.Olson's classes have been learning together to hurdle, throw, run and jump.  The students have really enjoyed measuring their jumps and throws and working towards improving with each chance.

Biking in Spring!

Despite the frigid April temperatures Middle School students have embraced the cold and ventured out on bikes this spring. Students have been working to get their heart rates up during this lifetime cardio activity and learning bike safety in the process! 

 

 

 

8th graders shine during create a game unit!

8th graders have done an excellent job creating developmentally appropriate games for younger students. They have shown strong presentation skills and are able to problem solve, teach students and have fun in the process!
